Our Prayer at the end of our service .. Bless us on our way Lord as we travel home or journey together to the sea side. Thank you for this time of worship. As your church, as your family, we learn together we worship together we live together and we play together. In all of this draw us closer to each other and to you that we may grow together into the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Amen.

On July 18th 2004 our morning worship focused upon the Junior Church. We completed their story of Samuel and his giving to God's people their first King. We learned about Saul and his potential as recognised by God. We learned that God himself was the only true King the people could ever have and in our story and in our hymns we learned and we were reminded that Jesus is our King and that he is The King of Kings. Our service included presentations of books to all our Junior Church Children for their attendance and each child was introduced by name and presented to the congregation by the Junior Church leaders, Elaine Battarbee, Jacqui Hicks and Adrienne Beale. Sue Cope taught us a new song .. Jesus is the name we honour, Jesus is the name we praise. The service in church concluded a little early because it was to be reconvened and then finally concluded at the sea side at St. Mildred's bay at Westgate on Sea. We ended with a prayer, remembering that the new King Saul had been a man of stature. Quite a number of us drove down to the sea-side and after singing " Majesty " and recognising Jesus as our King, we released some helium filled balloons. Anyone finding a balloon with a label attached is asked to send an e mail to our minister, Rev. Michael Williams, address on our home page. It was a wonderful day out and eventually the sun shone and the brave hearted even went for a swim. Thanks to the organisers and drivers.
