All preachers should beware of the pitfalls of too much eisegesis and not enough exegesis
Why not read the text before the commentaries
Try to read widely from authors with whom you profoundly disagree or you will simply reinforce your existing limits or prejudices
Let yourself be challenged if you wish to challenge others.
